Hotel Brokerage Division Sales
The Janko Commercial Hotel Brokerage Division has been successful in handling the sale of four separate hotels of three well known brands in Illinois and Indiana. In December of 2007 a Holiday Inn Express in Tuscola, Illinois was sold for $3,550,000. September of 2008 involved the sale of a Sleep Inn located in Decatur, IL for $2,000,000, a La Quinta Inn in Bolingbrook, Illinois for $4,700,000, and a Holiday Inn Express in Franfort, IN for $2,400,000.

Janko Realty & Development Establishes Hotel Brokerage Division
Janko Realty & Development, LLC announces that it has established a new Hotel Brokerage Division. The first closed transaction for the new Hotel Brokerage Division came in December of 2007 with the sale of the Tuscola, IL, Holiday Inn Express for $3,550,000. More recent hotel sales brokered by Janko Realty and closed in 2008 were: Decatur, IL, Sleep Inn for $2,000,000; Bolingbrook, IL, La Quinta Inn for $4,700,000; Frankfurt, IN, Holiday Inn Express for $2,400,000. These closings account for a total of $12,650,000 in hotel sales brokered by Janko Realty during the past eight months.

40 Acre Parcel of Cannon Industrial Park
The successful sale of property in the "I-80 / I-39 Corridor" has provided a convenient and efficient location for the present construction of Con-way Freight's new 220 door cross-dock facility in La Salle Illinois. This establishes a local operating location for more than 250 businesses in the greater La Salle area. Besides providing daytime pickup and delivery, evening functions include it being one of Con-way's largest freight assembly centers in the country. The new facility will employ 47 people with an increase of 25-30 emloyees over the first year and will replace the current facility in Peru, Illinois. The new building will have a 98,000 sq.ft. dock and a 6-bay, full- service truck maintenance facility and fueling island. It will include 14,850 sq.ft. for offices and allow for the expansion capability to 400 doors. Con-way Freight is a subsidiary of Con-way Inc., a $4.7 billion freight transportation and logistics service company.

Janko Realty & Development of Peru IL represented by Larry Bianchi has announced that they have successfully marketed and arranged for the sale of 4 Senior Assisted Living Facilities all of which are located in the State of Illinois, (Flora, Manteno, Ottawa, and Watseka). The transaction closed in late October of 2007 at a total cost of $29.5MM. The developer of these facilities was Janko Financial Group (principals Richard and Mike Janko), a Commercial/Industrial Development Company with offices in Downers Grove IL and Peru IL. The facilities are operated under the brand name of Heritage Woods and are managed by Blair Minton & Associates Management of Bradley IL.
The package of four facilities totals 288 living units all of which are qualified by the State of Illinois for the Supportive Living Facilities (SLF) Program which allows Low Income seniors to receive the same high level of service and care as Private Pay individuals. All four of the Heritage Woods facilities exhibits a tenant mix of approximately 50% Private Pay and 50% Low Income residents. Also, all four of the facilities were developed and opened since the beginning of 2000 (Flora - May/2000; Ottawa - Sept/2000; Watseka - June/2004; Manteno - Feb/2005). | |
